Prospective Development

The purpose of electricity planning and development management is to synchronize generation capacity and grids commissioning, as well as to ensure their compatibility to satisfy electricity (power) demand and prevent excessive or deficit electricity in the power system.

The Company conducts annual campaigns to forecast changes in loads and electricity consumption for a period of five years to ensure higher quality of grid development planning.

Forecasting campaign:

For 2015–2019:

• Changes in loads at 35–110 kV power center were forecasted.
• Power centers with shortage of power were identified.
• A forecast of a potential electricity demand was developed.

For 2016-2020: the forecasting campaign is nearing completion, the forecasts prepared in 2014 are adjusted given 2014 actual.

The results of forecasting campaigns are used as supporting materials to develop proposed tariffs for the next period, elaborate investment programs and plan retrofit of grid facilities and systems for long-term development of power grids.
