Congress and exhibition activities of JSC IDGC of the North-West are developing in accordance with the plan of participation in public events approved by JSC Russian Grids.
The Company’s representatives are regular participants of the leading exhibitions of the fuel and energy complex, economic and investment forums, at both national and international levels. In 2014, the employees of JSC IDGC of the North-West visited over 30 conferences and exhibitions. Among them are such important events as the First international power forum Rugrids-Electro, the International specialized exhibition Power Industry and Electrotecnnics 2014, 8th annual conference Russian Power Industry, 17th international specialized exhibition Power Grids of Russia 2014.
The General Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors participated on behalf of the Company in one of the key forums for the Russian and foreign political and business circles — St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. It was the second time that in addition to the top managers, some young professionals took part in the program of the economic forum. In 2014, the team presented the inter-regional company at International youth round table Designing an Efficient Power Company of the Future with regard to Modern Integration Trends organized with the participation of JSC Russian Grids.
It was the first time the young specialists of the Company took part in Forsazh 2014 International forum of young power engineers and industrialists dedicated to creation of the unified communications environment for promising specialists of the leading Russian and international energy companies.
In 2014, top managers and specialists of the Company were speakers at the Russian and international conferences, including 2nd Russian international energy forum, 5th conference IFRS: Practical Application, 8th Russian conference Ecology and Production: Prospects to Develop Economic Mechanisms for Environmental Protection, International scientific seminar named after Y. N. Rudenko and others. Their speeches presented experience and practice of the Company in power industry, environmental protection, economy and finances, and contained a number of suggestions to be introduced into the legal documents of power industry.
JSC IDGC of the North-West expanded use of remote interactive form of participation in congresses and exhibitions. The Company specialists responsible for environmental protection issues participated in the international online conference Waste Disposal in Russia: Practical Issues that was organized by the Ministry of natural resources and ecology of the Russian Federation. The interactive webinar organized by JSC IDGC of the North-West and dedicated to preparing the financial statements according to international standards (IFRS) using own resources gathered over 70 financial experts of the Russian companies of various spheres.
Every year specialists in labor protection, IR and PR employed by the Company attend profile conferences, exhibitions and seminars to learn the latest trends and achievements. In the reporting year, the list of such events included SAPE 2014, BiOt 2014, 8th annual conference Interactive Annual Reports: Traditions and Changes, PR Russia Forum 2014, Baltic Weekend 2014, the national corporate media conference Silver Threads.
In 2014, own forums and seminars with experts, partners and suppliers of equipment were organized. The tradition was continued to organize the corporate presentation day of JSC IDGC of the North-West conference that is for many years a platform for dialogue between the Company and producers of electrical equipment.
Representatives of JSC IDGC of the North-West branches take part in events at the regional level where the energy is one of the key issues. In 2014, Arkhenergo and Vologdaenergo branches represented the Company at inter-territorial career fairs. Kolenergo branch became a participant of the 3rd Murmansk international business week on the prospects for social and economic development of the region.
In 2014, a new section devoted to exhibition and congress activities was launched at the corporate website of JSC IDGC of the North-West; it gives regular information on events and calendar of conferences at which the representatives of the Company participate.
