Payments for negative environmental impact, RUB thous.
In 2014, there was an increase of payment for the negative environmental impact by RUB 664.18 thous. vs 2013 due to increased above-limit payments.
The above-limit payments for negative environment impact are due to the following reasons:
- Exceeding the established limits on emissions of pollutants into the air from Mezensky diesel power station (DPS) where the level of nitrogen dioxide in the exhaust gases was several times higher than the permissible level. However, even the emission allowance (received in July 2014) permits the release of a certain amount of pollutants. This limit was used in five months, after which the fee for emissions is to be paid in a 25-fold amount for all pollutants;
- Excess of the established limit for waste disposal. Due to the changes in environmental legislation, problems in obtaining limits for waste disposal arise, in the absence of which payments for the negative impact (in terms of waste disposal) are charged in a five-fold size. In addition, prepared waste disposal plans would not be approved if each production site does not have an agreement of the disposal (burial) of waste on the waste landfill included in the State Register of Waste Disposal Facilities (SRWDF).
